Play face animation with metahuman by calling a function

I am trying to trigger a facial animation by calling a function in a metahuman character blueprint “BP_Vivian”, the way I do this is by creating a function and attaching it to Play_Animation (face), and I select the facial animation that I want to play. I call the function using the remote control api. However, the animation is not triggered. I am trying to find why or find a workaround.

I find it crazy that I have the exact same question as you. Also sad that there is no answer. These forums are very dead I think.
