I would like to know if we’re required to use specific platform identifiers for every platform if we want to publish a PC build on the Epic Games Store - like the Steam storefront icon, Epic Games Store icon, PlayStation Network icon, Xbox Live icon etc. - or if it’s ok to use general iconography for showing that the player is on PC or console.
Something like a gamepad icon for console players and a display&PC case icon for PC players.
Thank you for reaching out for support, and thank you for your patience with this post! I understand you’re seeking clarification on whether you’re required to use specific platform identifiers for your game, such as a Steam storefront icon when playing on that platform.
I’d like to understand your request a bit better: where would this iconography appear? I know that our storefront media guide outlines the requirements for the media you upload to our store, but I’m not familiar with any additional requirements for platform identifiers.
Our distribution requirements can be found here, for your reference. I hope this is helpful! Let me know if you have any additional questions!
Hello, the icon would be displayed in-game - when looking for active multiplayer lobbies in the server browser or in pause menu, when checking the status of the ongoing session.
I don’t have any additional questions at this moment, thanks a lot for the provided links
