“Hidden Actors” and “Show Only Actors” do not seem to work in PlanarReflections: the drop down menu always shows “None” after selecting any object. Does this need to be enabled somehow?
The problem affects 4.16 preview 2 and previous versions of the engine.
I have not reproduced this issue in the 4.16 preview. I tested this by following these steps:
Enable global clip plane for planar reflections in project settings
Add a planar reflection actor to the default scene
Add a basic cube so it appears in the reflection
Select planar reflection actor and add cube to hidden actors list
The cube no longer appeared in the reflection as expected. I also tested the show only actors feature and it worked as expected as well. Some extra steps I took were to add a reflective metalic material to the floor mesh and hide the preview plane from the planar reflection actor.
Hi Ed, sorted the issue out. You can add objects to the lists only if they are in the same level of the planar reflection actor.
In my case I was trying to add objects in the same map but in a different (streamed) level.
Is this intentional or a bug? Is there any way around this?

I am having this issue in 4.17.1 and even using the picker on a single persistent level will not fill the Array elements. Also wondering if anyone found an option to remove PlanarReflectionComponets from the list of rendered items?
