planar reflection doesn't work on VR (apk for quest 3)

Hello,

I’m working on a VR game designed as a standalone project for the Quest 3. After successfully exporting it to an APK and installing, I’ve run into an issue.

I’ve used the Unreal Engine template as is, adding only a planar reflection to simulate a mirror.

Testing in the editor and exporting to Windows for play through Oculus works flawlessly. However, upon exporting to APK and running, the left eye view appears correct, but the right eye displays something odd that I can’t figure out. Could anyone offer some insight?

I’m attaching two videos to demonstrate what each eye sees, hoping for clarity on this matter.

Left eye (works fine) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcerQdXoMPE

Right eye (Weird) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sz-Y8YA-cas

Thank you!

ok more strange things, if i go to project settings > rendering > vr and check mobile HDR

on the left eye the mirror is just black, and the right eye works correctly (with good reflections)

is when I disable mobile HDR that goes to the first message problem, left eye works correctly and right eye does strange things.

I attach a capture with the mobile HDR on true

what is happening? please I need help :sob:

Hi. I also have the same problem. The planar reflection looks alright in PCVR, but it is problematic in standalone Quest 2. The left eye is correct, the right eye is incorrect. @vimesito Did you solve your issue?

nope, sorry
