Pixelated shadows when using Substrates translucent blend modes

Hello,

For my game I need to create a “hole in the ground effect”. To achieve this, I followed this tutorial:

Since “Scene Depth” isn’t supported with the “Masked” blend mode, I have to use the translucency ones, which unfortunately makes the shadows very pixelated, also dependent on the camera angle and distance:

Happens in a clean 5.6 third person template as well. I hope someone can help with this.
