PineCore3D - Birch Bark - PBR Materials Pack

Introduction

This is a pack of photoscanned PBR materials for trunk, branches and tree breaks. I carefully chose to scan trees with interesting features and then I hand edited all the texture maps. While the bark textures are 2k some of them look more like 1k due to limitation of the source photographs. Recommended use is material 1-7 wrapped twice or more around trunk, material 5-11 wrapped once or less around branches.

Material setup

  • Standard PBR workflow: Connect base color to Albedo, normal to Normal, roughness to Roughness, AO to Ambient Occlusion or multiply with base color and connect to Albedo, displacement to Height/Displacement input.

  • Compatible with metallic/roughness pipeline (assume metallic=0 for organic bark).
