Physics Door Only Opening from One Side

I created a physics door following a tutorial and inserted it into my map however it only opens from one side. The physics constraint is set to allow for rotation on both sides. The door is above the ground and not touching it. I first imported the door and frame into the blueprint editor, enabled simulate physics to the door, added a box collision, and set up a physics constant with limited swing one motion although it doesn’t work even when set to free. The physics constraint references the door. If I rotate the door 180 degrees in the world it still only opens from the other side, making it seem as if it’s a problem with the world.

Hey @zahmad95! Welcome to the Forums!

A few questions to get things started:

  • Would you mind sharing what tutorial you followed as well as screenshots of your physics constraint settings?
  • Does your frame have any kind of lip that would prevent the door from moving further in a certain direction?

Any additional specifics you provide may go a long way in solving your problem!

You could also have a look at this setup - perhaps it will answer your questions:

Hey @zahmad95!

Checking in! Did you still need help with your door? Did the solution above work for you?

Hello, sorry for the late reply - I thought I would receive a notification when there were posts on this forum but I never got any notification so I didn’t see the replies. I will try the above solution to see if it works. I used this tutorial - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30G-WJ5aMpA. I used my own static mesh instead of the one in the starter content but followed everything else exactly the same. I’ll be uploading some screenshots just now and be checking this forum.

These are the screenshots. I didn’t use blueprints but I will see if I can incorporate these.
