Physics asset collision confusion!

In UE5 I’m setting up a physics asset for a skeletal mesh. Everything looks great, bodies and constraints are set, but for some reason collision just isn’t working. whenever I simulate, the arms and legs pass through each other and through the torso etc.

I feel I must be missing something obvious, but I just can’t figure it out!

Any help would be gratefully received!


You need to shift select the body shapes you want to collide, then click “Enable Collision” button on the toolbar

Hey. Thanks for your reply.

I’m sure I had tried that and it hadn’t worked, but your suggestion does stop the elements from colliding with each other.

The only issue is that now when I simulate the body is constantly jiggling and kind of scooting around. I’m guessing I have some colliders overlapping too much or something like that.

Try to set “Physics Type : Kinematic” on some physics bodies .
