Hello Everyone!

We are finally going to publish this in a day! Well, not this but a very different and improved this :cool:

Physics Interaction: Doors and Locks is the new name! This asset has been delayed for over a year due to various reasons but it is finally ready.

Status update:
This is last update before submitting. Finally we are preparing to submit our marketplace content we have been working on for some time. Yayyy :D. This content will have two main components in it: PAMMBO (Physics And Mouse Motion Based Openables) and PUPO (Pick Up Physics Objects)[SUP][NEW][/SUP].

PUPI (PUPO) is already on marketplaceseparately.
We are trying to make PAMMBO from scratch using a different method(still physics based) because it didn’t work well at low FPS. Currently work on PAMMBO is paused, as soon as we update PUPO we’ll resume it.

  1. Create door/trapdoor/drawer/window… rotating/sliding.
  2. Attach light/particle/text/static mesh actors.
  3. Push (kick) openable with force (select key using Action mappings).
  4. Can be used with models of any size or shape.
  5. Can choose custom sounds for slam and closing separately.
  6. Everything is configurable through details panel of placed actor.

Yes you can use this for chests as well. Actually we had forgotten about chests :p, we’ll add chest model to pack. About Pick Up, our goal was to make this BP work without any changes to Character BP, just simply drag and drop (we managed it :cool: ). But if we add Pick Up feature, users will have to make some changes to their Character BP. We might add it later depending on some… stuff… :smiley:

Thanks to lunnyBunny, we gave another thought to Pick Up Object feature and found out that it is possible to add that feature without making any changes to Character BP. Currently we are working on that feature and everything looks good so far :slight_smile:

Oh… I’m really sorry, totally forgot to update this thread. We are trying to make PAMMBO from scratch using a different method(still physics based) because it didn’t work well at low FPS. And it turned out a bit difficult to make PAMMBO with “this” method, so we paused it’s development to work on PUPO’s update (it is ready, currently cleaning and commenting BP), as soon as we update PUPO we’ll resume PAMMBO but it might take a while to make it with new method, not sure how long.

I hope to fix it , cause this PAMMBO it’s very important , and this is what i looking for

Any updates on PAMMBO?

We are trying to make PAMMBO from scratch because it had some problems. Currently work on PAMMBO is paused, as soon as we update PUPO(working on documentation… stuff) we’ll get back to PAMMBO.
