Photoscanns with only free software

I saw that some are making experiments with Photocaptures of objekts. At the moment i just saw people who use Agisofts Photoscann software which is nice, but costs some money if you want to use it for a Game.
So i thought some of you who just want to try, or want to use free software should know a alternative.

At the moment I use a workflow which consists of 4 programms, VisualSFM, MeshLab, Blender and the Unreal Engine 4.

VisualSFM: http://ccwu.me/vsfm/ (Windows, Linux, Mac OSX)
MeshLab: http://meshlab.sourceforge.net/ (Windows, Linux, Mac OSX)
Blender: http://www.blender.org/ (Windows, Linux, Mac OSX)

Here is a quick walkthrough, what u get is an full model of an reallife objekt with textures, and easy to make LODs through MeshLab and Blender.

nice, thanks for the info.

I used this workflow for a while and it works great. Both VisualSFM and MeshLab are wonderful softwares!

Yeah they are ^^ did you also tried buildings?
