Photorealisticly texure landscapes? [HELP PLZ]

Hey everyone

So I am quite experienced in blender but im quite new to UE4
Im trying to figure out a way to texture my Landscape in a photorealistic way.
So I have tried to follow 1000000 Tutorials on youtube but they all somehow come down to painting textures or using nodes which just don’t work or look absolutely terrible.
I am hoping some1 can tell me how to or redirect me to good resources. I have tried official documents, online tutorials, literally everything I could find except buying LAM.
I am looking for a way to texture my terrain in a realistic way like can be seen here: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/ATX7kmET4zE/maxresdefault.jpg
I am currently using textures and heightmaps from Poliigon. Please let me know if I should swap with any other Texture website. SO far I’ve had no problems with their textures in blender.
Thanks a lot in advance
(I have uploaded the map in case any of you want to see the file.)

When someone create a landscape using an external tool, they usually create not only the hightmap to define the topographic info, but also splat maps based on that topographic information telling each map where: to put grass, to put rock formations, to put trees, to put dirt, to put a different dirt for erosion effects, to put water, to put snow, and list goes as far as complicated is the terrain. Those textures are the key for you to implement a rich landscape.

As far as textures goes, you need to know if your textures are scalled correctly inside the landscape material you are using. It is not as simple said as done, but there as you showed a Quixel photo, if you dig enough you will find a tutorial they have created on how to do things inside Unreal.

Digging this info is hard, probably harder than to look at the documentation, creating materials and doing experimentations until the knowledge is fixed. I would suggest you to check the marketplace store, because there are terrific assets there, some also give to you the opportunity to download a demo and if that is what you want, you can purchase the asset and learn from it. A good one i like is: Procedural Landscape Environment, which has a complete executable demo you can download. A lot of people purchase in order to learn techniques.

in the example pic you sent, there are just good 3d assets and good lightning. if you like to archieve that, then you need good assets. youre problem is not creating the landscape geometry or the texture for the landscape material (ground), but the stuff that is placed on the landscape.
