PhD Studentship on Real-time Visual and Haptic Feedback of Grasping Movements in Virtual Reality

I would like to advertise an open position for a 3-year funded PhD studentship in the field of Computer Graphics and Immersive Virtual Environments starting in October 2020. Successful applicants will receive an annual stipend (bursary) of £17,285 plus payment of their full-time UK home tuition fees for a period of 36 months (3 years). The focus of this position is on modelling haptic control of hand movements using Virtual Reality technology. The position is a part of an interdisciplinary project involving researchers in Computer Graphics, Simulation, Virtual Reality and Cognitive Neuroscience. This PhD position is funded by the EPSRC, and the candidate will be supervised by Dr. Arthur Money and from the Computer Science department and Dr. Marco Davare from the Clinical Science department at Brunel University London. We encourage candidates with a strong background in linear algebra and programming (preferably using UE4 or Unity) to apply.
