Hey Epic team and fellow creators,
I’ve been building in Fortnite since Chapter 1, Season 7. Between Creative on console and UEFN, I’ve put in over 5,000 hours because I love making games here. Like many of you, my dream is to create games for a living through Fortnite’s ecosystem. But right now, that dream feels like it’s slipping away—not because of a lack of passion or effort, but because the tools don’t work.
Here’s the reality:
-
Devices we’ve had in Fortnite/Creative—like tents, upgrade benches, or the melee manager—are missing from UEFN. These aren’t flashy requests; they’re core tools that gave us freedom and functionality.
-
The devices we do have are often broken by bugs. What use are galleries if the mechanics don’t work properly? We don’t want half-finished new tools—we want working, reliable ones.
-
Even simple mechanics are unstable. The tall grass collision bug is just one example: something so basic has been broken for ages with no fix in sight.
It’s not just me. Look at DawgTown Chronicles—a project made by industry professionals, promoted on the Unreal Engine YouTube channel. It’s an amazing experience. But when you actually join it in Fortnite, it has zero players. If a game backed by professionals and promoted by Epic can’t gain traction, what hope do smaller creators have?
Personally, the last three games I’ve made are unplayable because of bugs. Each time, something breaks that’s completely out of my control. It’s crushing. I want to keep going, but when even simple ideas collapse under technical issues, it makes me want to give up.
And the bigger picture:
-
The future of Fortnite is UGC (user-generated content). But creators are being let down—by bugs, by tools that don’t work, by discovery issues, and by incorrect sanctions.
-
Bug reports often go nowhere. They sit dormant, or get closed because they “can’t be reproduced.” But just because QA can’t replicate it doesn’t mean the issue isn’t real.
This petition is not just about me. It’s about all of us. If you’ve run into bugs, missing devices, or felt let down by the tools, speak up here in the comments. This isn’t a bug report—it’s a place to tell Epic how these issues make us feel as creators.
What we’re asking Epic for:
-
Fix the devices we already have so they’re stable.
-
Give us useful, proven tools from Fortnite Creative—like tents, upgrade benches, melee manager, and many more.
-
Stop rolling out half-finished features until the foundation is solid.
-
Support discovery properly so great games don’t get buried, no matter the creator’s size.
We don’t want to give up on our dreams. We just want the chance to actually make the games we love—with tools that work. If you agree, please vote this post so we can get Epic’s attention.
Signed,
Creators who refuse to give up—but can’t do it without Epic’s help.
