I have a project with multiple character who share a common skeleton asset, so any skeletal mesh asset can playback any anim sequence asset.
For animations specific to a certain character, I’ve set the preview mesh to the corresponding character’s skeletal mesh, and clicked “Store in Asset”
However, whenever I load this animation asset, it keeps the preview mesh set to whatever the previous value was. If I store a preview mesh selection on an animation asset, it should automatically set this preview mesh when I load that animation.
This is frustrating and also sometimes hilarious, because when I am doing work that requires switching between two characters I am constantly seeing animation applied to a character not meant to play it. Funny at first, but annoying to have to deal with.
