Hi,
I’m getting erroneous mesh files (obj. ply, point cloud) out of perfect looking point cloud reconstruction.
The source is a set of photos. And only this set of photos makes such bad mesh. I’ve made more dozen meshes with RC and
utilising other photos. All worked very fine. But not this specific set. When trying open obj or ply it generates error alert.
This set is made with the same camera as the rest. It was reconstructed in normal and high detail. And looks perfect. Texturing goes perfectly as well. But no matter how many tries I do the meshes are not openable. Why?

Hi Piotr Lesniak
Can send the OBJ ( direct from RC ) to me and will inspect it what is the problem
how much triangles it have ?
in what application you opening the OBJ-PLY and get the error ?
send it to milos.lukac@capturingreality.com
I’ve found the solution but not the reason. I have copied obj files to another folder and it opens now. I do not why but it seems that this specific folder was to blame. Which is strange anyway.
I have used almost all my applications accepting obj, ply to open these files. RhinoCAD, ArtecStudio, zbrush, netfab, meshlab, blender, modo, etc. Triangles count was simplified to 20, 12, 5 mln. Cannot send it from RC due to the end of time
