People still waiting for GitHub student account

Hello World
Out of curiosity how long have people been waiting for the GitHub Student pack. They claim it will take a couple of weeks and it is taking a couple of months. I have researched this and I am not the only one. A lot of people are unable to get this gracious benefit because of delays. Is there a way I can get the student edition through the website because I am eager to start learning how game development works.

Many people are currently waiting for the student pack, so it could take a while till you get it, but it’s seems like it’s something on githubs site :slight_smile:

I’ve been waiting about a week and a half now, but I’ve already subscribed to UE4. If you are really eager to learn it and don’t want to waste your time sitting around for GitHub, then I would suggest subscribing for one month and then unsubscribing within that same month. Essentially you get to keep the current version of UE4 permanently for only $20, and you can use it until GitHub gives you the free version. If you are as excited as you say I’m sure you will be able to come up with $20, even as a broke college student (I know you can because I did). Otherwise instead of spending money to get UE4, you’re gonna have to spend your time waiting, but it’s up to you.
