Hello. Can anyone help me? I am using Twin Motion for architectural rendering, It’s amazing and I love it. I now have a new desktop machine with a spec that allows me to use the Ray Trace rendering. I have 64GB RAM 20GB Graphics card and 24 cores. However I am not a tech wizz and speaking with my IT dept, they have said that it would be best to configure the machine and software settings to use the machine to be best of it’s capability. I might not have given the best explanation but can anyone help?
Hi. You have a decent setup for working with Twinmotion, and there aren’t many settings you need to change. From your description, I assume your graphics card is a Quadro RTX 4000 Ada, so it’s suitable for ray tracing and path tracing. I have a similar setup in my HP Z6, and the only thing I would do in your case (which HP also recommends for my workstation) is to change the power plan in Windows to “Highest Performance”) and (if your Dell has this option) also set the BIOS to the highest performance setting. Best regards.
