I am working on a project in UE5.5. It’s a BP based project. Please can someone help me with a problem that is now at a point it makes my UE5 unusable.
When working, my mouse cursor disappears. Not in game, just in the editor.
Instead of the mouse being shown, if I move the mouse, I can see a lighter highlight on tab (i.e name of BP, or level name) is highlighted with brighter white for a moment so I can see ‘oh this is where my cursor is’.
Also in the BP event graph when I lose my mouse cursor, to be able to connect the pins, I have to move the mouse (just by guessing where the cursor is) and aiming to get close to the exec pin.
Plus to debug, I am nipping into things, diff BP and want to quickly add a breakpoint or print print string, or i want to go to the output log and type something in (but i cannot click on the search box of output log tab, to resize a comment box takes so many attempts to click or drag, etc.) but I cannot as my cursor is not visible.
I have tried a diff mouse, I have tried not having dual screen (extended from laptop ) . I have to keep pressing wdw key to go out of UE then go bk in, sometimes the cursor comes back, not always, but even if it comes bk it gets lost again.
I have changed my laptop default mouse, to bigger, changed colour in an attempt to see if that helped, it did not.
I have tried another mouse, this was the same problem.
Its so frustrating, and it’s so bad I spend most time now just pressing wdws key multiple times a minute, or its just not usable.
