[PC GAME][DEMO] The Fall of Lazarus: a science fiction mystery game [SQUARE ENIX COLLECTIVE]

Hi!** I’m creative director of No Wand Studios**, a Spanish indie video game development studio. Let me introduce you** THE FALL OF LAZARUS**, our first PC GAME we are working on right now.

THE FALL OF LAZARUS is a first person exploration science fiction mystery game. It’s like Firewatch meets the film Moon, basically.

The Fall of Lazarus is a deeply narrative video game. You will have to solve the puzzles and explore in order to advance in the story. The universe and story will unveil branching along the scenery, objects and documents left behind by the people who lived in the Lazarus at some point.
In addition if you search and connect the dots maybe a greater puzzle will be revealed and the darker truth around you will become brighter.

The Fall of Lazarus demo titled The Fall of Lazarus: The First Passenger is now available and fully playable in the official website of the videogame. It’s a little slice of the full videogame with all the mechanics and the narrative we are working with in the game and best of all: it’s auto conclusive. It’s the prologue of the story we will tell in The Fall of Lazarus.

Synopsis:

You are a crew member of the USSC Lazarus waking up from cryosleep without memories and even without name in an apparently abandoned drifting cargo spaceship. But you’re not alone, there is also Hybris, the AI who commands the ship.

THE FALL OF LAZARUS: THE FIRST PASSENGER is the auto conclusive prologue and demo of the game. Set in the year 2180 you will play as Caleb Rogers, a Gen-Ethics (an audit firm focused on controlling the normative and quality of criogenic, clonation and genetic alteration processes) who wakes up in the USSC Lazarus against his will.

The First Passenger is a little slice of the final game where we showcase all the playable mechanics of the full game and also works as an example of the narrative we want to play with. You can play a whole level of the USSC Lazarus out of the five levels will include the final game, every one of them highly detailed and full of objects and terminals to interact with while playing the main story. But we wanted you to enjoy this little stand alone experience separately if you want to. This is only the prologue with another protagonist but we highly recommend you to stay tuned and, when the day comes, enjoy the full experience.

Status:

We’ve been working on The Fall of Lazarus for four months now. We’re in the middle of the development right now and we aim to release the game in early 2017 on STEAM, GOG, Humble Bundle… We’re looking for publisher and we plan to release the Greelight and Kickstarter campaign on September. We are also working on making the game VR compatible. We’ve worked with Oculus Rift and HTC Vive sets before and we think this is the perfect game of this kind of technology due to the immersive experience we’re traying to accomplish.

Thank you so much and we hope you like what we’re doing with The Fall of Lazarus.

Johnny.

Hi there!

It’s been a while since we opened this thread and we’re sorry about keeping you out of the loop, but we’ve been working hard pushing the game a little bit and today we wanted to tell you about something that make us really happy so we’re going straight to the point. If you follow us on social media you already know that **we were selected by Square Enix Collective to be part of their indie video game support platform. Obviously it’s owned by Square Enix itself, so it’s a really big deal for us!
**

If you don’t know how it works, it’s a platform focused on giving visibility and feedback to small projects. It started in January 2014 and since then one hundred and twenty projects made it to the platform already. Each month they select four pitches from all submissions they receive but this November they only picked up two due to the massive number of pitches people sent. The Fall of Lazarus, our science fiction exploration and mystery game is the fourth Spanish project in the platform ever and right after the steps of the most voted pitch in the history of Square Enix Collective: Moonlighter, the beautiful game by Digital Sun Games, an indie video game development studio from Valencia.

So, our game pitch for The Fall of Lazarus is starting its feedback phase. Everyone can go in there and give us whatever they think about our concept. You only have to register with your Square Enix account, your Facebook account or even your Steam account and that’s it. If you like what we’re working on then press the YES button and we will be the happiest men in town.

VOTE OUR SQUARE ENIX COLLECTIVE PITCH HERE: THE FALL OF LAZARUS PITCH

This phase take a month to end and if Square Enix sees movement and good feedback maybe they’ll help us with a hypothetical crowdfunding campaign. And then, well, there is also a tiny possibility of being published by them if that hypothetical crowdfunding comes true and successful. But those are castles in the sky. Now we’re focused on your feedback, people!

Oh! And we will be in the indie zone of the Fun and Serious Festival in Bilbao, Spain from 25th to 27th of November. So, if you’re going too be sure to say hi! We’ll be glad to meet you all and chat a little bit. There will be some great indie studios such as Tequila Works or Beautifun Games among many others!
Hope to see you there and don’t forget about voting us on Square Enix Collective!

See you guys! The space trip continue!
Johnny.

Congratulations on the Square Enix Collective pitch! I’ll be voting Yes for sure

I loved the film “Moon,” so I am all about this. Keep it up!

Thank you so much !
