PC freeze when i use the UE

Hi, im currently try to open all the version of the UE but none of them fix this problem.

Whenever i try to open the settings or a blueprints (i can only use the default setup when you lunch for the 1st time a project) my pc freeze and i need to reboot it (really annoying :/). i can’t open any other window from the UE as “settings” or even the “save as” window.

I have tried many solutions (delete data in the appdata folder, reinstall, repair) but no one fix the problem.
i can say that the component of the PC are not the problem ^^’.

If you have an idea of the problem and you know how to fix it, i am all ears :slight_smile:

I had the same problem and managed to fix it a few minutes ago.
I’ll list the steps I took in order to do it:

  • Reinstalled UE4 v4.25.4
  • Reinstalled NVIDIA Studio Driver v461.40
  • Inside NVIDIA Control Panel, under Manage 3D Settings, in Preferred graphics processor, set to High-performance NVIDIA processor.
  • In WindowsUpdates, check for updates and install them all (this is what actually fixed it for me).
