Hello. We have decided to submit a blueprint to marketplace once it is ready as a 2 man team called HeadsAndBrains (Wrote the name just to have our name on forum :)). I have been reading about taxes and other confusing things almost for 3-4 hours nonstop… And I just got more questions .
First, some info: I live in Azerbaijan. I don’t have an official company or anything.
So here goes my questions:
Do I need to have an actual bank account or is it enough to have just a plastic card? In cases of using PayPal for payment receiving or without it.
Do I need to have Taxpayer ID, tax forms, and bank information for this country? As I see it may not be needed based on this “Taxpayer ID, tax forms, and bank information may be required to receive payment”.
What the heck are those 3 things on question 2?
What taxes might I need to pay from my 70% ? If you don’t know about my country’s taxes it is ok, just what about before I get that money?
I doubt that a bank account is actually required, I am in the last stages of getting my content published to the marketplace, and I provided no bank info.
This depends on your countries tax laws, and/or how Epic Games chooses to handle things for your country, though I believe this mostly applies in The United States of America.
That is paperwork and information used to tax you.
All of this depends entirely on your countries tax laws, from how much taxes you will owe, to if you will even need to pay taxes.
Thanks for quick reply. How will you receive payments, through PayPal or some other way? Because in our country PayPal can not be used for receiving payments :(. About 4th, does that mean we’ll not pay anything other than our country’s taxes? Like… I don’t now anything
I will be payed through PayPal. I’m not sure about tax laws in the U.S. (Epic Games is headquartered in the U.S., and would be paying you), but I think that you’ll only need to pay taxes for your own country.
