I would like to buy an item from Marketplace with the PayPal, because I have lost my credit card. I have enough funds in my PayPal wallet, but as long as I try to pay with PayPal, it redirects me to page with credit card details.
Is it possible to pay for item with PayPal funds, or the only way is to use credit card?
Here is the problem, the head text says “In order to finalize the transaction, add your credit card”, while I would like to use my PayPal Wallet funds.
That’s a Paypal thing not unreal. I have a verified bank account attached to it but it still requires a credit card attached as a “backup” in case you are out of funds.
I believe this answer is incorrect. When purchasing through Steam I have no problem and the amounts I spend there are significantly larger than my marketplace attempted purchase today.
I don’t believe it can be region either as I am in NZ and there are very few restrictions on our transactions.
I think it is the way that Epic have integrated PayPal payment, maybe they have set a flag that insists on an alternative payment system in case, as you say, the funds are not available in the standard balance… however in that case the transaction should be refused by PayPal and Epic anyway.
hello, I have the same problem with Fortnite v-bucks. So I have 3x more money on my paypal wallet then the actuall price of 1000 v-bucks is and I still can’t buy:/ So how much more money did you have on your account?
I just had same problem - it didn’t want to charge my wallet so I went to paypal site, settings / payments and there was “Your preferred way to pay” - click change and choose “PayPal balance” and ofc confirm
after that shopping went smooth
