Pawn with camera not correctly following spline, use pawn control rotation not working as expected?

Hi,

I’ve created a pawn with a camera attached to it which I’ve then placed as a child actor inside a car which follows a spline.

Unchecking ‘use pawn control rotation’ the camera appears to continue in the direction the car is travelling along the spline. However, I lose control of the camera which is setup in the same BP.

Checking ‘use pawn control rotation’ the camera always faces forwards but I can rotate it with my mouse control.

Is ‘use pawn control rotation’ working as expected and do I need to make sure the camera always faces forwards using BP somewhere else?
