Path Tracing - Point Light Attenuation Shadow

I am getting weird shadows within the attenuation radius of my point light, where the light doesnt hit an object. Its extremely noisy and dark in this area.

Originally I thought it had to do with the transparency of the orange platic, but pulling the light out shows that the issue remains.

Does anyone have a solution to this? This issue was not aparent when rendering in a bright day light scenario.

Bumping this again. Any Info on sorting out this weird noisy point light sphere would be of massive help.
