Hello guys,
I recently got in touch with this beautiful piece of software. I’m now testing the software with different batches of images. I have a really annoying problem. My first test is made with about 100 pictures. Now I added 200 images, one batch which is captured from further distance and one with a different angle (captured on different times). The result of my second test (with 300 pictures) does not show the profiles of the steel structure as beautiful as my first test (with only 100 pictures). I know that parts, which are not visible in all pictures, are deleted from the final result, but this profile is not changed… Does anyone know how this problem can be solved?
Hi Tom,
it seems that your attachement haven’t come through…
I don’t know what the problem was, but the picture can be found on the following location:

This is the first test, where the steel structure is good, on my second test, some parts profiles are not shown anymore
Hi Tom
I can see the screenshot but still no issue you are reporting… Can you post more screenshots describing the issue ?
Those additional photos could downgrade the result if they were taken with little overlap and overall quality.
Ok thx,
First of all thanks for the fast responses. As far as I know is the overlap more than 80% and the quality is the same. The pictures were made with a GoPro, could that be a problem? I know it is not the best camera for photogrammetry, but i’m just in an experimenting phase and my drone does not support another camera. Does anyone has experience with GoPro?
Hi Tom
Can you send me the whole dataset + RCPROJ files + source images + short description of the issue for inspection to my email ?
Hello Wishgranter,
I will setup a few project files today to illustrate the problem and will send them to you when i’m finished (probably tomorrow).
Thanks in advance
Hello Wishgranter,
Can you confirm you have received my data files?
Hi Tom
it’s on my download list for today…
