Particle Parameter LOD bug?

Hello everyone,

Sorry I have not been terribly active on this forum lately to help other users out since my focus has mostly been on the bug tracker and the Steam forums, but I was curious if anyone has come across this problem or could identify what I may be doing wrong. Otherwise I will likely escalate this issue as a bug with the ARK dev kit.

In my mod TorchBoost, I use particle parameters to control different aspects of the particle emitter such as whether or not certain modules are active and spawning smoke. In the below video you will see one such particle parameter that changes the particle spawn rate, is defaulted to zero, has no scripts running (it is just a blank test map), but ignores the default parameter once the client is a sufficient enough distance away from the emitter.

Thanks for your time. Feel free to comment if you don’t know so I can gauge whether this is a legitimate issue or simply something I have done wrong.

I presume you Regeneration LOD didn’t fix your problem?

I would expect LOD to be present no matter what to prevent client render issues. Adding the element in yourself would allow manual override or tweaking I’d expect.

JasonFJ, I was able to toy around with this today and although I still only have one LOD the glitch seemed to have stopped. Thanks for your help!
