Is there a way to merge partial skeletons into a skeletal mesh as long as the bones are named the same. It would make sense to have this. Say for shoes all I need is shin, ankle, foot, tip of foot. That is the names on both skeletons just the skeletal mesh has a whole skeleton but the shoes only have those mentioned. I already know if you import it using default methods that it refuses to do anything properly. I am just wondering is there a method where I do not have to keep the whole skeleton the entire time. I accidentally deleted the skeleton (invert selection delete, keep editing til you do not have enough undos) while doing the shoes. For some reason bringing in the old skeleton and merging the bones back in the right spot does not fix it for some unknown reason (unreal keeps registering the bones as not existing). So yeah is there a way to just merge the ones that exist to the ones that also exist?
