While I was tweaking the settings for the NavMeshBoundsVolume and RecastNavMesh-Default, I noticed that part of the Landscape material had disappeared
I tried restarting, reapplying and saving the material, as well as painting and sculpting the Landscape, but nothing worked to restore it.
I would really appreciate it if anyone could suggest a possible solution.
Check the output log for any warnings. Sometimes it could be due to too many SRVs but I doubt it given the simplicity of the material but might pop in logs.
In paint mode right click one of your layers and select Rebuild materials, keep an eye on the output log in case it says something.

You really helped me—thank you so much! You might not have been able to tell from the image I attached, but I was using nine different materials on my Landscape. After reducing it to six, the checkerboard pattern disappeared. I still need to repaint the areas where I had used the removed materials, but I’m relieved to have found the cause. Thanks again!
