Alright, so I dont have any knowledge about perfomance or similar things so I feel like any answer will just leave me as a big question mark, but I must ask for help because this is quite unbearable to work with.
But anyways, I’m building a Paragon map for fun, still working on jungle paths etc. Everything so far has gone great but recently I’ve recieved immense lag “out of nowhere”, at where I have built the green forest and I don’t know what it is that causes this lag. And it is only on that particular part as well, everything else is pretty much “lag free”, from 60 FPS to 120 FPS and while looking at this area it drops down to 7-9 FPS.
Once I’m done with one side I will duplicate it all and mirror it to fill up the remaining side of the map. I did try to duplicate once just to see what it would sort of look like, but when I did that everything remained lag free except for that part on the picture, despite being all the same that had been duplicated. Why don’t the duplicated part give me lag as well? Or will the lag only occur after I’ve ‘built’ the map?
I also experimented by literally deleting everything on the map but still that part in particular still gave me huge lag.
Why is this spot cursed and how do I fix this? … and I really hope it’s not gonna be THAT complicated to fix, because if it is, I don’t which wall I want to run into >_<
Is it something about the meshes? the materials? or what?
Like I said, even when removing everything there was still this huge lag. Does the lag appear/disappear once the lighting is built?
I’m a lost newbie ![]()
