Parallax Backgrounds using 3D assets

Hello everyone,
I’m looking to create a 2.5D fighting game stage using 3D assets and wanted to create a parallax effect to create a more retro feel. Does any know any tutorials on doing this? There a games using this effect somehow while others it feels don’t use it. It definitely feels very present in Tatsunoko vs Capcom stages and then like its not even there in SFV stages.
