I tried to merge Actors but I get “Insuficient mesh components found for merging”
Thank you for your help.

Yeah, I noticed this too. You also can’t export many of the textures, which I’m guessing is due to the 16-bit PNG issue. :frowning:

Yep no textures at all can be exported… Strange . Modding is fun when you can tweak in an artistic way. It should not be only for gaming behavior… but it’s my opinion :wink:

It is possible to convert the character models to static meshes and export everything you want, you just have to re-skin them.

Also if it is then a static mesh, you can add to scene, right click on mesh, merge actors lod0, then merge the textures to 4k or 8k. The textures will be atlased into one with lower fidelity, but can then be exported for further editing or as a base starting point…

@karma4jake

Sorry but I can’t export everything I want :wink: I want to export the Rampage character in fbx format wich means the mesh (non static) rigged to the skeleton because I make Facial and body motion capture. I think the problem is about LOD. All characters working well to export have one mesh but all characters with 4 LOD have issue to export. Because I’m a beginner I don’t know and didn’t find a tutorial how to delete LOD.

Did you guys try to change FBX Export Compatibility lets say to 2018, 2016 or 2014?

@Soulast

Yep all fbx version avalaible.

Ok all is not lost :wink: This guy found a solution. See the comments. I tried with Rampage and it works. https://youtu.be/dUeGeM4f2l8

Does anyone know how to get this to work WITH all the LOD’s coming along?
I’m trying to get all the LOD’s into maya so i can use a lower LOD on my project, though i noticed only the converted static mesh seems to export out with all LODs, though that has it’s skinning removed obviously.

solution for export problem

Hey guy, just need to get rid of the cloth assets that’s attached to the characters before exporting.

Thanks mate. This worked for me!

Why isn’t DarryC’s answer at the top? “Get rid of the cloth assets attached to the character before exporting” Why am I forced to scroll through everyone else to get to that? Most recent responses should be read first.
