I want to edit some of the vertex colors on my Metahuman. But everytime I do so, the Editor deletes all Morph Targets. I am using UE 5.6:

Nope, I use Vertex Attributes instead
For anyone still having trouble with this, I have a workaround. I paint the vertex colors in Unreal, then hit Reimport Mesh with Dialog, and on Vertex color I choose Ignore, so it keeps the painted values. This restores my morph targets. Hope it works for you too.
