Good afternoon. I was painting snow on my mountain tops and the snow only paints on one side of the mountain. The other side is only a few white streaks. This is consistent on both ranges of mountains.
For example, the snow paints evenly on the “eastern” side of both ranges but the “western” side is only white streaks.
Is there a setting I can change to have it consistent on both sides?
I’m using Brushify’s snow material, btw, if that makes a difference.
This is like a large super caldera area, so there are mountains on the opposite side of this one. They are acting the same way, with the snow being inconsistent depending on the “side” of the mountain the snow is painted on.
If it makes a difference, I first applied Brushify’s base material (which is all black) then when I created the layerinfo, it applied a ‘grass’ material over the entire map. I then painted the snow over that. I also used the ‘remove’ option material to remove a small section of grass and tried painting snow over that, too, but still got the same result.
For me it looks like the mountain has a more dence vertex count on the snowy side than on the other. When you are using the paint tool you need a somewhat dence vertex count.
Try to switch to the wireframe mode to see the dencety
