"Paint an angle" of a circle

First time ever using UE4 and posting here so I apologize if anything isn’t the way it’s supposed to be

So essentially, what I’m trying to do here is to take an input from the range of 0 - 360 degrees and somehow paint that angle on a square.

an example:

Over the past 2 days i’ve tried thinking of anything that may work and came up with nothing I am able to implement so any ideas are more than welcome.
Doesn’t matter if it’s done by changing the material to the wanted color or placing a cylinder of that color and then changing it’s opacity at the angle or any other method as long as it works. Although, if you can, please do explain more than one method if possible as i’m very interested in learning this

I’ve only ever used a material for something like this. Maybe someone else can chime in with other ways to accomplish it, but here’s a material that you can use for now.

Use the AngleDegrees scalar parameter to set the angle of the circle.

Result with a texture mask applied:

Here’s a sample project if you’d like to see how it works.
