As part of the development of an unannounced project, Midgar Studio is looking for a VFX Artist capable of creating special effects for environments, real-time combat and cinematics in an anime looking universe.
Your main tasks:
- Create and integrate VFX directly into Unreal Engine
- Create advanced shaders in the engine
- Feed and improve the production pipeline as development progresses
- Work with the Art, Animation, Game Design and Audio departments
- Participate in the artistic and technical watch
Requirements for this position:
- You have a first experience in an equivalent position and at least 2 to 3 years in the video game industry
- You master Niagara
- You are familiar with graphic design software
- Have knowledge of Mel / Python scripting
- Have a good culture of special effects
- Be able to take a critical look at both the artistic and technical aspects of a project
- Be versatile
- Be creative and have the ability to make suggestions during the different stages of development
- Very good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a development team
- Very good oral and written communication skills
- Be sensitive to Japanese animation is a plus
- A strong taste for JRPG productions is a plus
