[PAID] UE4 Developer [Scotland, UK based]

We are a small indie team, currently working on our own game CYGNI: All Guns Blazing (published by KONAMI). We’re in mid-production and we’re looking for a developer who can jump right in and work efficiently in UE4, with strong skills in C++ , Blueprints and UE4 Source code. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to take on any interns or inexperienced Unreal Engine programmers. Please only apply if you are confident you can work in Unreal Engine 4 and have the required skills to take on the responsibilities. We’re also looking for someone to be based in Scotland, Edinburgh (or can commute to our office on a daily basis). if you’re not in the UK and you’re interested in this role and ready to relocate, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to discuss visa / relocation support (if required)

Role:

  • Work closely with designers and artists.
  • Programming game mechanics and features in UE4 with Blueprints and C++ (is required)
  • Tracking and fixing bugs

Qualifications

  • Strong Blueprints & C++ knowledge and math skills (is required)
  • Game industry experience as a programmer.
  • Ability to write a robust, reliable, and efficient code.
  • Professionalism and a high work ethic.
  • Passion for games.
  • Advanced English language skills.
  • At least one previously shipped PC/console video game is a plus.
  • Design AI behaviour trees.
  • Efficient in UE4, strong skills in C++ and Blueprints and UE4 Source code (required).
  • A great problem solver and team player.
  • (Desirable) Experience in multiplayer and co-op titles, shooters, creating upgrade systems, implementing UI.
  • Help make sure the game is well optimised and performance is kept in check.
  • Experience with PS and Xbox development is a plus.
