Hi everyone,
I’m wrapping up core development on my fantasy-style MMO and preparing a playable demo/MVP for release later this year. To showcase the game’s worlds, systems, and combat, I’m looking for talented creatives to produce high-quality demo content.
About the Project
- Genre: Fantasy MMO
- Engine: Unreal Engine (Blueprints + C++)
- Backend: Custom Java (Micronaut) server and networking
- Current Stage: Core gameplay prototyped; building out demo scenes & assets
Roles & What I’m Looking For
I need 4 types of contributors, each on a part-time (5–10 hrs/week) or per-delivery basis. You can pick one or more roles:
- Environmental Artist
- Scope: Focus on a small island demo now, with the long-term goal of a much larger open map
- Style: Stylized fantasy theme—think lush foliage, whimsical props, floating crystal outcrops
- Assets: We already have extensive packs (Dreamscape content, plus others) you can leverage
- Optimization: Crucial—assets and landscapes must be performance-tuned for smooth Unreal runtime
- Deliverables: Modular pieces, foliage clusters, terrain sculpting, level-blockout for the island
- UI/UX Designer
- Design intuitive, engaging widget layouts (inventory, skill trees, HUD)
- Create mockups & UI flow to guide players without overwhelm
- Produce polished UI assets (iconography, buttons, panels)
- Animation Artist
- Animate humanoid and creature combat / crafting loops
- Blend seamlessly into Unreal’s animation blueprints
- Provide source files (FBX) and animation montages
- VFX Artist
- Create bespoke particle/sprite effects for skills, hits, crafting sparks
- Build Niagara or Cascade setups ready for integration
- Tune effects for readability, performance, and fantasy flair
Terms
- Engagement: Part-time (5–10 hrs/week) OR per-delivery (fixed scope & milestones)
- Remote: Fully remote, flexible hours
- Compensation: Competitive rates, commensurate with scope & experience
If you’re interested, please email me at ylazarev92@gmail.com with:
- A brief intro & relevant experience
- Portfolio or samples of prior work
- Your availability (hours/week) or preferred delivery milestones
- Your rate (hourly or per-delivery estimate)
I created devlogs where I capture some of the journey which can be useful to get an idea of the project:
Thanks, and looking forward to creating something amazing together!
