Project Summary:
Luster XP is an audiovisual project that merges electronic music with immersive virtual environments created in Unreal Engine. Each environment functions as a digital “location” where real DJs are featured as performers, generating a powerful visual narrative.
This MVP consists of a 6-minute audiovisual video (not in real time) set inside a brutalist 3D environment called Pavilion. The video must visually reflect the musical dynamics through precise lighting programming and synchronized visual effects.
Key Tasks:

Design and implement a lighting system in Unreal (independent channels for columns, ceiling, screen, beams)

Program light behaviors in sync with music (kicks, transitions, drops, etc.)

Create reusable lighting presets (on/off, color, fade, intensity, etc.)

Export final video in 4K MOV format with synced audio

(Optional) Integrate DJ footage via chroma key or Metahuman
Must-have Requirements:

Proven experience in lighting systems synced to audio in Unreal Engine (examples required)

Strong skills with Unreal Sequencer to program lights accurately

Experience in audio-reactive visuals (preferably in music-related projects)

Ability to render high-quality videos from Unreal (camera, materials, lighting setup)

Scene optimization for realistic material appearance (lighting must enhance surfaces)

Fluent English communication and ability to follow visual references & storyboard

Comfortable working with fixed camera previews and applying feedback across revisions
Nice to Have:

Experience with DMX, Blueprints, or Sequencer scripting for light triggers

Chroma key integration or Metahuman setup
-
Skills in shaders/materials for improved visual realism
Deliverables:

Final 4K video (MOV with audio)

One version with Metahuman, another with chroma key DJ footage (TBD)

5–7 high-res stills (4K) showing key moments

Full Unreal Engine project files (organized and reusable)

All video files used for the wall screen visuals
