Position: GAMEPLAY PROGRAMMER

Required Skills:

At least 4 years programming with C++, and at least 1 year programming with Unreal Engine 4 specifically. In addition to resume, we’ll need to see C++ code samples, and links to demos of projects you’ve programmed. As a gameplay programmer, we look for people who have a really good ‘design sensibility’ and ‘attention to detail’ for polishing gameplay mechanics creatively, not just raw coding skill. We like our programmers to be creative designers as well

We’re still looking for talented people to fill other roles, you can read more about it here!

ABOUT THE GAME

ARK: Survival Evolved takes on the survival genre with a unique blend of emergent multiplayer cooperation and competition. Players must hunt, harvest, craft, research technology, and build shelters to protect against punishing climate conditions, dangerous wildlife, and potential enemies. Tame and ride one of nearly 100 prehistoric beasts, including gargantuan creatures on a scale never before seen in video games! Fly a Pteranodon squadron over the snow-capped mountains, race through the deep jungle with a pack of trained Raptors, tromp through a fortified enemy base along a convoy of gigantic Brontosaurus, or chase down prey on the back of a raging T-Rex.

ARK: Survival Evolved is available on Steam Early Access, Xbox One via the ID@Xbox program, and will launch in June 2016 on PlayStation®4 with Project Morpheus support, Xbox One, and Steam, including VR support and a thorough integration of Steam community features such as Steam Economy and Steam Workshop.

ABOUT STUDIO WILDCARD

With 12 years of industry experience across multiple independent and studio-backed titles, Jesse has teamed up with other veteran developers for a Seattle-based development studio that also includes distributed team members across multiple continents. That one is even more important for us  Hope they find the right one soon.

MOD COMMUNITY TECHNICAL LIAISON

Description: We’re looking for someone to act as a ‘technical liaison’ to the ARK modding community hosted on Epic Games Forum ( ). Specifically, this will involve answering as many questions as possible from community members, helping them with issues, bringing core technical issues to the attention of the development team when important (and tracking the status of such issues). Furthermore, the Mod Community Technical Liason should create demos of common types of mod projects on their own on a rapid regular basis, for the community to use as reference examples. Finally, the Mod Community Technical Liason will interact with the general Community Management team to help spotlight and feature cool Mod content that the community has created, as well as plan events with the Community Management team to help encourage ARK modding.

Recommended Skills: Major skill on Blueprint Editing, creativity and drive to design mod examples, UE4/ARK modding, good English communication skills and inherent desire to be proactive in fostering a great community.
