Description:
I’m needing a tutor to help me accomplish some goals in UE5. I have worked on a project but I get stuck questioning the best standard practices and tools to use to create a feature. I’m looking for someone who understands the best practices in UE5. For example; I’ve looked at the City Sample project and I want to understand more about the AI; pedestrians & traffic. Ultimately I wish to create a small RTS and what I’ve learned I wish to take that and build into my project. During my tutoring, we may look at my project to show where I’m stuck or we may just use sample projects to understand how to accomplish something, such as traffic & routing traffic.
Hours
Rate: $40/hr (open for higher rates depending on experience)
Total min a week: 2
Total max a week: 3
Friday 5-7PM or 5-8PM, sometimes Saturday 1-3 or 1-4PM.

Very rarely, but we may have to have a longer session to accomplish a goal, this would be discussed ahead of time along with the best day & time. I work a full time software development job but it’s flexible so I could do some hours mid-workday.
My Background
I come from a software development background, with languages such as PHP, C#, JS, Python, and a few others. I believe what I lack is the best practices of UE5, the correct path to building something efficiant. There are a lot of tools provided and I wouldn’t know whether to build an AI traffic system from purely an actor or, what I’ve recently discovered, the AI behavior tree.
Talent Required:
UE5 Programmer
- Good understanding of the tools within UE5.
- Good understanding of UE5 blueprint.
- Object oriented programming.
- Rigging vehicles is a plus.
