[PAID] Full Time Unreal C++ Programmer -- Blue Isle Studios – Toronto, ON

Blue Isle Studios is hiring!

We are looking for a skilled programmer to help us out with our brand new project; a multiplayer action game featuring beautiful environments and fast paced first-person gameplay. The ideal candidate is able to work closely with design to develop high quality experiences for players on all kinds of platforms ranging from PC to consoles. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate and excited to create amazing video game experiences.

This is a full-time employment position working from our office located in downtown Toronto. We are not looking for remote contract work at this time.
The role will consist of design and implementation of various gameplay systems in a multiplayer action title. More specifically, you will be involved in every stage of development; from building the initial prototype to shipping the final build. Experience working with Unreal Engine is a requirement. Excellent communication skills are important; your role will require you to serve as a knowledge base as the team gears up for Unreal Engine development. Our ideal candidate has a minimum of three years’ experience and has shipped at least one PC or console game in the past.

From a technical standpoint, we’re looking for someone that can work within the constraints and tools provided; this means that the right candidate can create major systems in Unreal without relying on external plugins, assets or middleware. The right candidate would have experience with various systems such as networking, AI/pathing, gameplay scripting, FX and database management. Intimate knowledge of C++ and strong mathematics skills including trigonometry and linear algebra are a must. Additional assets that are not requirements include C/C# programming, experience with multithreaded code, knowledge of CGProgram/HLSL and knowledge of Linux/SSH/PHP/HTML or other web technologies.

Being a small independent studio, this position means that you will have the opportunity to work closely with our small development team of nine, and help us shape an incredible gameplay experience. If you are interested in working with us, we’d love to hear from you.

Please submit your application with a resume and portfolio to jobs@blueislestudios.com
