We are looking for a tech artist/shader guru who can work on an isolated scope of work/proof of concept across the next 1-2 weeks, with possibly more work to follow.
Create a deformable grass/foliage shader that flattens the verticles. Foliage objects are spawned in off the surface material in a procedural way, so we can’t use physics for this, as we need to keep it optimised.

For the flattening of the grass/foliage to persist in the world that would clear on a map reload. Options include exploring multiple RVTs and other tricks to achieve this.
The flattening of grass has a range of sizes - based on the type of actors passing through it.
