Packaging the project (Windows) in Shipping mode still produces Development

I can tell by the logs showing up on the screen.
I remember this happened before to someone.
Can someone help, please?

You have to package with the launcher to avoid this.

I’m sorry, I tried to open the launcher and look for a way to package but I couldn’t find it.
Can you be a little more specific, please?

Sorry, I should have been clearer, I mean this launcher

Thanks, I know where the Project Launcher is
Once in the Project Launcher, how do I package the project?
Editor is version 5.0.2.

You have to make a profile

Hey there. Bumping this thread.

I’m having the same issue and I’m not really sure what else to do after creating a profile in the Project Launcher.

When I package my game it’s still being output as Development and not Shipping.
I just don’t want a bunch of debug messages to appear for friends who are play testing the game.

Just checking…

Then you hit

Is that how you’re doing it?

Ah I see now. I did do that, but was confused about what was happening.

I didn’t know it was deploying the build to the Saved/StagedBuilds location rather than the ones I had made earlier, so when I didn’t see any new builds there I assumed I needed to do something else.

Well, nevermind! I probably missed a point somewhere. Thanks for nudging me in the right direction.

Yes, it’s not well documented. But, last time I tried this with 5, it killed the console, as it’s supposed to.

They seem to have removed the option to package from the main menus, which was making a development build, even when shipping was configured.

Really weird. Because I create a game with teamates and they doesn’t have the same problem. They can go directly to the Platform section up in the editor and select Shipping mode there, and package the content

I still see people having this problem, even with the latest version of 5.

( this post was from aug 22 ).
