Packaging problems

what version of visual studio C++ is required to package a game as an .exe? Im using windows 8.1 and unreal 4.10.1

do i have to use a paid version or can i use the free one. (enterprise or community)

i keep getting errors that say my computer does not have a compiler installed.

please dont make me go to unity. i can make a exe there.

Do you maybe use plugins in your project?

Visual studio 2015 free version.

no, i dont use any plugins And i have installed visual studio 2015 free version three times now. uninstalled it each time and redownloaded it.

When installing Visual Studio 2015, the default installation options do not include the Visual C++ components that are required by the Engine. You will have to make sure to select these components when installing Visual Studio 2015 or you will receive error messages when trying to use the Engine.

I figured that out guronzor. what im having trouble finding out is what components i need to install.

Choose type of installation “Custom” then under “Programming Languages” select “Visual C++/Common Tools for Visual C++ 2015”.
