Packaging (iOS): IPP ERROR: Application exception: System.IO.IOException: The file is too long. This operation is currently limited to supporting files less than 2 gigabytes in size

I am loosing my mind over this error in Unreal Engine 4.24.3.

I am creating a development build for iOS to test on my actual device.

The build process seems to go fine in the beginning and it cooks all assets and then in the end i see this message with creating the .ipa file.

Here’s the log in text:

Are you building on a PC or a Mac for this? I know this is definitely an issue with the PC remote build pipeline for iOS when the project files are too large (eg super large textures/meshes etc) however would be good that there was a proper solution from Epic implemented in the engine as as users we shouldn’t be experiencing this kind of issue.

@ DKBuzzin - I’d suggest you don’t mark your comment as an answer as the problem isn’t resolved.

I am building for iOS too and upon adding some assets that use 4k textures I am over the 2 gig limit for the IPA file. iPhone games need to be under 2 gigs. The whole game gets packaged into a single .ipa file.

I’m getting this same issue. Packaging for iOS on Windows but it’s giving me that error. No plugins or anything.
