Packaging Failure

Hi,

I am having an issue packaging my game. I was debugging an issue with the landscape and ocean, there were some jagged edges and texture clashing.

I noticed that there were two instances on “Landscape” in the outliner. I deleted the one, and then UE crashed. I couldn’t open the project, so I edited the ini file to not default open to the map, which worked, I can open the project now.

I changed the Map to a backup and everything seemed to work, works fine in the editor and simulating. But as soon as I try to package the project I get a sea of red and it fails, see below.

Help a brother out please, demo day is near and I’m at a loss.

Hey there @TheDodgyJammer! It sounds like the map may have been corrupted. When you mention you “swapped it out for a backup” did you remove the old file from the “maps to cook” list or removed the file from the file system and replaced it with an autosave?

In either case, it’s possible that build data could have been left behind, as well as cached data that could be conflicting. I’d recommend backing the entire project up once more (preferably via source control), and deleting some folders and regenerating them next launch.
