Hello there,
first: thank you guys for UE4 – it’s great. This is my first post as all my problems before could be solved by the Answer Hub and/or common sense.
But I’m experiencing a new problem which looks to me like a bug. I’ve seen others having similar problems, but I’m not quite shure if it’s the same issue.
When I’m packaging my game for Mac then the .app file I get always varies in size, so normally it should be at around 2.0GB, but it appears to be sometimes 0.6GB, then 1.1GB, then something else, randomly. I get no error messages at all, UE tells me at some point that the packaging is complete. Sometimes during packaging, UE crashes.
When I execute the .app file, it tells me that the map was not found. (“The map specified on the commandline ‘…’ could not be found. Exiting”).
So in fact, when I look into the .app package, the Maps folder is always missing, so are other files and folders, randomly (as it looks). As I wrote above, it varies every time I package it again.
Is it an 4.10 issue? Because before (4.9) it just worked fine.
I tried with pak files and without, I checked the issue about the “Play Offline Mode” at the “Use Single Process” option (something I read in another thread). I set my project folder and all files that it contains to Read&Write, something I read in another thread. Was that an mistake?
I don’t know how to proceed. In standalone mode, the game works just fine.
Thank you in advance for your very welcome support!
All the best,
