Packaging a Windows game that requires administrator rights

Hello guys!

I am basically trying to revive this post but for UE5. Just like the OP, my game seems to require Admin access or at least something that prompts the Windows Firewall to ask for access. More info on my issue here.

Is there a line of code, a blueprint node, or a checkbox to make UE5 package a game that has this box ticked automatically (to allow fellow developers to not have to manually do it every time)?

No matter what you do, you can’t circumvent an administrator request with a windows app for security purpose. However, you are getting prompted by a firewall request and not administrator right? In that case, you can do this.

It’s called either CreateProcessAsUser or CreateProcessWithLogonW
