Hello everyone!
I have a little problem here, I packed my project and played it on my computer and it works great.
But when I play the same one on another computer. It works very slowly and with all kinds of bugs
what should i do please?
Greetings @GhosTreble1
With performance issues, it could be a number of different causes. I’d start with comparing hardware between the two systems. What type of project are you working with and what kind of system specs does each rig have?
The computer on which the project was built:
i9-10900K
64GB RAM
Nvidia RTX 3070
The computer I’m trying on is:
i9-10900K
16 RAM
Nvidia RTX 3050 ti
On the computer where it was built 80FPS
On the second computer 25FPS
Thank you very much for the replay!
When running the program on the second computer, have you monitored your system via software or task manager etc? I’d start there and see if your second pc is running out of ram during usage. The CPU/GPU are almost identical. So, it has to be either the ram or something with software. Are both systems running on the same OS with all updates installed etc?
Very strange everything seems normal. Maybe I’m doing something wrong with my packaging? Can you please tell me what things I should pay attention to while packing as well
For a guide on packaging, I’d recommend something like this Packaging Projects. That’s an excellent guide with a lot of information. I’d start at the top and walk through everything step by step.
This guide teaches so much! I appreciate that I did some wrong actions in the packaging.
Thank you very much for your time and patience
Excellent! I’m very happy that the link provided good info for you. I bookmark the Unreal Engine Docs pages. There is a TON of info there you can search through for almost every part of Unreal Engine. I’m glad you got your issue resolved. Thanks for posting and have a great week!
