If you copy the config folder that’s not a problem…
really? im having these crashes ever since i packaged for the very first time, i have never played my game without these crashes.
Are talking about the editor or a packaged build? Sounds too good to be the latter:D
wut? how often did you try each one? sometimes it takes 8 shots or more and then the next 5 attempts to load all fail.
So what did you do? Just migrate the assets to a new paper2d project and copy the config folder?
:o which engine files dont get compressed to the .zip? Could they be hanging around in my project doing all that nasty stuff after all?
Yup. I made a new 2D project ( make sure it’s closed ).
Then open your project and migrate your folders.
Then copy the config folder.
Then open the new project.
Well, you zipped up the whole project folder, right?
Does it always crash at the level start?
okay so it’s compiling all the 3000 shaders right now.
The name chooser, really?:DD Hmm well it aint old enough to be the cause for my crashes, lucky meXD
Yep the main menu bp is messy but i couldnt find another way of controlling the widgets with my keyboard lol
okay by now the shaders are near done, drumroll please!
just took everything from the zip i sent you and migrated everything into a new project, we’ll see if it works in a minute
If it’s that, you can cure it by clicking ‘verify’ in the launcher.
I’ve gone off the name chooser thing as the culprit and am now focusing on the menu blueprint.
It’s very convoluted.

It only happens every other time but if it does it crashes at the start of a level, like after selecting your char, in between levels and so on but never throughout a lvl.
I also feel like when I use umlauts in my name the chance of a crash dramatically increases
which engine version are you running, is it 4.25.3 as well?
Yup. I’m just working on the packaging with VS studio thing again here…

Im starting to think my engine may be corrupted in some way
also when i set dz_level_1 as start map it’s behaving in the same way without the name thing ever running, that’s weird

oh i see, yeah that’s what i did by restarting and Alt F4-ing the build over and over again:D Weird though that unreal wouldnt allow me to create dev builds recently… but yeah that’s exactly what happened when i did it my way, weird af right?
